We remodeled this home for the family of this third generation family farm. Originally built in phases over many years, the house was a jumble. It needed help. It was also drafty and wet. After fully insulating and air sealing it is now consistently comfortable. We added a small but essential entry area that connected all the disjointed parts of the house and opened an area to become an extended kitchen, dining, and gathering space featuring a post and beam frame and an actively used wood cookstove. The walls above the kitchen counter were once the painted plywood floor of the old kitchen area. Every inch of this renovated home is delightfully well lived in.
