Your Team

We’re going to get to know each other well. We show up to think, design, and
build better for you every day.

Kyle Cruz
AIA, CPHC, LFA, Architect

I’m Kyle. I discovered architecture in high school and knew that was the work for me. After receiving my Master of Architecture degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology, I returned home to Burlington, CT. I spent 9 years in Hartford as a Project Architect. My passion and commitment for sustainable design and construction led me to Wolfworks in 2021. What excites me most about our work is the direct and daily collaboration with clients, our build team, and our trade partners to execute each project. The planetary impact of our work is a priority for me, especially as my wife and I begin to teach our two young sons about leaving the planet in better shape than we found it, a concept I surprisingly learned playing little league baseball. I look forward to building a relationship in which we can accomplish your project goals and maintain our mission for a better planet.

Janet Downey
CPHB, Construction Manager

I’m Janet. I was born into a very large Irish family so I learned resource management at a young age. After graduating from Temple University with a degree in Architecture, I returned to Connecticut and began my building career to discover what was between the lines that Architect’s draw. Working first in truss manufacturing and panelized homes, I found love in residential building. After fine tuning my skills managing the construction of large custom homes, I reached back into my natural tree hugging soul and joined Wolfworks. As a certified Passive House Builder working at a design & build firm, I love integrating thoughtful design with sustainable building practices. Beautiful projects built better: more efficient, more resilient, more comfortable are goals of mine for you. Let’s make the magic happen.

When I’m not on your job site you can find me off hiking with my family enjoying nature and the planet we’re trying to preserve (or on the golf course pretending to golf).

Joseph Scheuermann
CPHC, Architectural Designer

I’m Joseph. I developed a love for all aspects of the built environment playing city simulators and flying around the planet on google earth during childhood. Like Kyle, I received my Masters of Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology and have also been licensed as a certified passive house consultant. One thing those city simulators taught me was the importance and impact of resource management. With architecture and construction having a large influence on climate change, I take our role as stewards of the planet seriously. Designing our homes to use the resources at hand in an efficient manner is a big passion of mine. In my free time you can find me hitting the gym, playing chess, studying for my architecture licensure, or on the phone catching up with friends and my huge family.

Connor Musinski
Project Manager

I’m Connor. Building has been my passion since childhood. Starting with LEGOs, to building forts in the woods, then eventually homes. I began my construction career in high school, working as a carpenter in the field to gain hands-on trade experience. From there I worked my way up to supervising the construction of large scale homes in West Chester and Fairfield County. I found my way to Wolfworks out of a desire to find a company that aligned with my personal values. In my free time I’m outside in nature and I believe protecting it a top priority. Wolfworks’ commitment to protecting the planet and building homes that harness energy from the sun was a perfect fit for me.

Kelly Wood
Operations Manager

I’m Kelly. Early in my career, I could clearly see the gap between design vision and the logistical complexities that could interfere with bringing that vision to reality. With information as my tool, my career trajectory has been marked by a series of roles where I have worked to bridge that gap – harnessing data to streamline decision making, reducing points of friction within the process, creating clear and simple customer experiences, and ultimately achieving the best outcomes for all. At Wolfworks, that means happy people and a happy planet – and that makes me happy.

Jamie Wolf
CPHC, Founder and Design Evangelist

I’m Jamie, a retired owner and founder. Wolfworks grew out of my years of experience designing and building projects in Greater Hartford and the Farmington Valley, beginning in Hartford’s West End in the mid 70’s. My practice has always integrated design with construction, even though I took off my tool belt decades ago. Wolfworks lives on as an employee owned company carrying on the work I began all those years ago.

Our Team

We build what we design. To do that Wolfworks depends on developing great relationships with the people who provide the products and services that we organize to create a satisfying project.

We love building stuff and we like to work with people who share that enthusiasm. We see our job as providing our trade partners with the information and resources they need to have a good day at work. We also depend on them to provide us with their insight and expertise in ways that improve what we are designing, in terms of cost, craft, and a smooth workflow. Their craftsmanship brings your project to life.
